The 1970 BCS is a longitudinal survey of people born in the same week in 1970. Numerous studies have taken place on this sample, primarily concentrating on physiological condition early in the survey's history, but most recently (1996) addressing a much wider range of issues, from healthcare to the social environments in which the sample live.
